چکیده
In this article short overview of existing methods of electromyography sensors placement and control strategies of the artificial prosthetic hand was made. Also the explanation of necessity for different strategies was given. The new methods and algorithms to process electromyographic signal were proposed. The experimental results for one of the described methods were shortly estimated and analyzed.

An Android Application for Estimating Muscle Onset Latency using Surface EMG Signal
Background: Electromyography (EMG) signal processing and Muscle Onset Latency (MOL) are widely used in rehabilitation sciences and nerve conduction studies. The majority of existing software packages provided for estimating MOL via analyzing EMG signal are computerized, desktop based and not portable; therefore, experiments and signal analyzes using them should be completed locally. Moreover, a...

Background and aims : In our daily lives hand tools are often used in many work situations. With respect to design characteristics, hand tools can be considered a risk factor when a high level of repetition are required or when awkward postures are adopted. Therefore attention to ergonomics design rules for hand tools is the most important factor in design process. With this in mind, the aim ...
متن کاملQuantitative Assessment of Muscle Fatigue for FES Research Studies
Background: Muscle fatigue is an important issue in neuromuscular rehabilitation. Better control of this phenomenon would result in better prevention of its consequent physiological damages. Objective: To provide a mathematical representation of muscle fatigue as a function of time. Methods: We conducted this study by combining the EMG-based estimation methods of muscle activation with the availa...
متن کاملAdvanced Signal Processing Techniques Applied to Cross-talk Reduction in Forearm S-emg
In spite of the great advances in the mechanical and electronic components of prosthetic hands, they still lack the high number of degrees of freedom present in the real human hand. That is due, not to technical deficiencies, but to the much reduced amount of independent control signals available when using surface electromyography (s-EMG) from the forearm stump or other artificial sensors. Cro...
متن کاملExperimental analysis of an innovative prosthetic hand with proprioceptive sensors
This paper presents an underactuated artificial hand intended for functional replacement of the natural hand in upper limb amputees. The natural hand has three basic functionalities: grasping, manipulation and exploration. To accomplish the goal of restoring these capabilities by implanting an artificial hand, two fundamental steps are necessary: to develop an artificial hand equipped with arti...
